![]() ![]() It's a rather predictable story though with Applejack and her family expecting what they usually do on Hearth's Warming Eve, only for things to be far different like eating rock soup, (How does a pony eat a rock anyway? That's got to be Hell on their digestive system.) finding a picture of a rock and putting it on top of Holder's Boulder, and even hiding presents and trying to find them. Now don't get me wrong, I do like that each family member does have their own trait, but it's still hard to not compare them to other characters. Remember how in the first episode and we saw Fluttershy and saw how silent she was? Well that's Marble Pie for you in a nutshell. Then you have Marble Pie, who's very similar to Fluttershy. Either these two were still around when the "Royal We" was still in use, or they really like speaking in "Ye Ole" voice. Then you got Igneous and Quartz, who speak almost similar to Princess Luna from Luna Eclipsed. However, it's still kind of obvious she's got some characteristics of Gilda in her. Now it's said in the episode that she runs the farm mostly, so maybe it's stress getting to her. Bossy, snappy, demanding, and very quick to anger. Take for example, Limestone Pie, who seems to have traits from Gilda before being reformed. However, these characteristics remind me a lot of other traits from other characters we've seen in the show. In that time since then, the creators have managed to give each member their own characteristic that makes them stand out from each other. ![]() While it's true that we have had Maud Pie show up in the past, we haven't seen any other member of the Pie family since the first season of the show. However, the conflicting traditions may end up tearing their families apart. Yes, for the first time since, I believe, all the way back to season 1, we get to see the Pie family again as the two families celebrate Heath's Warming Eve. Who knows? Maybe maybe my theory that retailers and businesses trying to skip Halloween and go directly to Christmas.īut enough of my crazy theories, it's time for another Hearth's Warming episode between Pinkie Pie's family and Applejack's family. Though, I do find it weird they aired it before Halloween and not sometime in November. Well that's where today's episode comes into play. While our first episode of this holiday told the origins of said holiday and the founding of Equestria, we haven't seen much beyond it. Since season 2 of FiM, we haven't seen anything involving the holiday, Hearth's Warming Eve. ![]()
